Thank you, person who sent this ask like three fucking months ago! I didn’t even know I still had asks for this dinky old thing kicking around.
You have warmed the cockles of my heart to no end.

Probably was irrelevant - I mean, it IS kind of stupid for a group of people who point out flaws and mistakes in others to ask for any kind of punches to be pulled when it comes to them, and I feel strongly about that, but this was always supposed to be a joke that I would do until I got bored, and I got bored VERY quickly.

Also I like how these guys are doing their job as fandumb blogs
This is why I am unfollowing them allso fandumb blogs officially count as fandumb now or
They’ve been fandumb for awhile, baby
Okay, first of all, please read the post that’s like, three or four below this one, answering that anon about why I do this, and you’ll know that I love fandumb blogs and for the most part I’m doing this as a kind of broad meta-joke, blah de blah see below for more. And honestly, this is less about really dumb things, like the Kanaya-lesbian thingie, and more like little differences of opinion. Again, this is part of the joke. And as stated in the FIRST EFFING POST, posts on this blog will probably be few and far between, because fandumb blogs are so often spot on.
HOWEVER, I must take a bit of umbrage with your accusations of pettiness and that this is not how things should be dealt with - now, yes, this is rather petty, and again, that’s part of the joke, but I can’t help but find it highly amusing that when someone does to you what you do to hundreds of people, well, THEN it’s unfair and petty. I mean, you’re right - the most fair thing to do with dumb youtube comments would be to politely address your grievances in private, not screencap it and broadcast it to the world.
But that wouldn’t be anywhere near as entertaining, which is why you do it. But there is no difference between what you and I do, except that fandumb people are all more well liked and respected than nepetasgonads69, but that doesn’t shield anyone from criticism. There is nothing wrong with critiquing the critic.

Stop being special snowflakes and don’t make character design decisions unless you have a good justification for them. (This goes especially for people who draw the high-blooded characters as non-white, despite the deep racism ingrained in troll society. Yeah, that makes complete sense.)

Really… really? What is this bullshit idea that people make characters “Non-white” just to be politically correct? That’s the same bullshit argument behind “Token” characters. You know what? This pisses me off every time. People get so pissing mad if a cast is all white and shout ‘Racism racism, you racist fucks!” and yet when someone actually has a headcanon that a character would be any ethnic of ‘non-white’, people foam at the mouth with more rage and hate the character simply because they were made a non white race, because you think the author/artist/etc did it to be PC.
You know what? People should NOT have to justify why they’ve made a character any race; be it caucasian, indian, african american, asian or anything else. You ever think that maybe they do it because it’s their god damn headcanon? They should not have to provide any so called ‘reason’ why they made the character the race they made them. “Diversity points’ is the stupidest term I have ever heard in my life. Let people have their headcanons and stop fighting like children in a sandbox over who gets to make the god damn sand castle!
Once again Tornruler is a speaker of truths. Really, this just ISN’T okay, people.
This is beyond relevant right now. -Pollux
So, the above responses are pretty much spot-on, but they are missing one point, possibly the biggest point that occurred to me whilst reading the pet peeve: Okay, so far be it from me to be one of those douchebags constantly calling out people for being “reverse racist” against white people and stuff, but… the implication that the racist ones MUST be white?!?!?
I mean, am I the only one here who finds that insulting in SO MANY ways? First of all, implying that people of a certain spectrum of skin colour are naturally or by default ANYTHING except for having specific amounts of melanin is A BIG NO-NO. Secondly, DO YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE ONLY WHITE PEOPLE CAN BE RACIST? I mean, have you HEARD of the Middle East? You are aware that the big reason WHY Iraq is such a fucked up situation was because of Sadaam’s mass murder of the Kurds, along with the very high tensions between the Sunnis and Shi’ites? Not to even get started on the tensions between Pakistan and Israel? Or all the hatred and rivalries between the various Asian cultures? Or all of the many, many MANY examples of slavery of one race by another over the years, and the general dehumanizing that goes with it?
Pretty much every culture has been overtly racist towards another culture in at least one point in history, so choosing ANY skin colour for high bloods will work in a contextual historical sense of Earth. (Personally, if you MUST have humanstuck trolls follow a logical orderly spectrum of skin colours, I like have darkest skin at the top and lightest skin at the bottom, because one could correlate the higher concentration of melanin to the higher concentration of the mother grub’s slurry - at least, I vaguely remember that being part of why troll blood colours are what they are, but I tried finding that in canon rather cursorily and couldn’t, so whatever. However, my favorite way to divvy up humanstuck trolls is to make their skin colour whatever the fuck you want, and just do it socio-economically)
But moreover, the OP made the rather fatal mistake of taking their rather narrow world view, most likely as an American (which is probably where their idea of racist people = white comes from), and applied it, not only to the INTERNET at large, which by its very nature is WORLDFUCKINGWIDE, but through the lens of the internet, applied it to A FICTIONAL RACE OF ALIENS. So, not really a fandumbdumb, more like a fandumbthingyoumayhavemissedwhichiscompletelyunderstandableintheabsolutetorrentofSTOPandFAILthatwastheoriginalpetpeeve.
But I think that may be too long of a tumblr url.
Why thank you! As said in an earlier response to someone’s ask, I really am mostly doing this as a bit of a large meta joke about how everyone’s making fandumb blogs so they can get a few hundred followers too! But hey, I am a person with a ton of opinions, so might as well have a couple of the opinions have the centralized area, you know? But yeah, I’m mostly just doing this for the little things, because otherwise, if I seemed too intensely into this, the joke would be lost.
AND THE JOKE IS PARAMOUNT.
Was that meant to be funny?
i’ll admit, i laughed, but more out of surprise than anything

I did the same. u_u

I dunno, it’s fairly amusing. But the picture isn’t what I want to highlight here. Look up. Look at the reblog chain.
Do we REALLY need THREE different fandumb tumblrs… about tumblr???
Wait, and since I’m all about fandumb itself, which is pretty much a tumblr phenomenon…
FOUR TIMES TUMBLR-SPECIFIC FANDUMB COMBO!
i feel like i’m staring into the portal to hell
I am pretty sure this video is MEANT to be scary as fuck. Also, this is the only HS Youtube video I’ve seen yet to pair up Gamzee with Circus Afro, which honestly surprises me. Tumblr, I thought you were faster than that. This video is honestly pretty good - unlike most in this genre, obviously - but I get the unmistakeable feeling of intention here.
reblawg if u cri ery tiem ;__;
Okay, so what’s the problem with this, exactly? Yes, the trope of animus’ eyes disappearing in side shots is kind of old, and I’m not sure why Gamzee is holding the picture above his pants stretched out a whole bunch, but whatevs. This is far from the only Father’s Day post capitalizing on the day to make some Sadstuck. Same as what happened with the Lalondes on Mother’s Day. Perfectly alright since it fits with the characters, and since there was plenty of Dad love going around anyway, to balance things out.
Also, that picture is actually pretty damned cute. Gamzee’s horns look a little off, but that’s a small picture, so it’d be hard to draw those.
